Berserker Brew is a specialty roast that is our lightest roast, slightly lighter than our medium found in our standard Midgard Mauka.  The reason is simple, this coffee is comprised solely of a bean that is three times the size of a normal coffee bean and with the extra air space takes on the lighter tones more effectively.  The tree, named Maragogype, originated in Brazil and carries the nickname of Elephant bean or big bean, and is rare to find growing in Kona.  Our coffee takes advantage of this beans size and roasts it to perfection with the old fashioned roaster ending up with tasting notes of toasted marshmallow, caramel and cardamom.
